JAKARTA - An accident occurred on Monday (7/23/2012) early this morning at 03:00 at the Hotel Indonesia roundabout, Sudirman Street, Central Jakarta. A Mercedes-Benz sedan police numbered B 1201 BAD was driven very fast and hit the three street singers who were sitting on the curb drinking coffee at Hotel Indonesia traffic circle (roundabout HI).
Head of Subdit Gakkum Jakarta Police Adjutant Senior Commissioner Sudarmanto said the car was moving very fast from the south to the north. "All of a sudden the car hit a curb on the roundabout, and then went up. There were three other people sitting there drinking coffee, get hit," said Sr. Comr Sudarmanto, Monday morning, when contacted by reporters.
The three victim was hit, he added, are the singers who were resting. One of them was killed, while two others were injured. The victim died in the name of Sharia Hariyanto (33), a resident of Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. He suffered a wound to the head and nose, and face to bleed.
Injured victims named Andrew (20), residents Blora Market, and Jamaludin (20). Andri had injuries on the right foot, while the dry bones torn from the vehicle rammed.
